Physical activity plays a huge role in wellbeing and is basically any activity that involves the movement of the body that enables the use of muscles to expend energy. It enables physical, mental and emotional wellness and it’s important for it to be a daily aspect of life. There are different ways to keep active and it is important to find the right level of activity that suits your capabilities and lifestyle.
Activities can take many forms including but not limited to;

3. Running, jogging, cycling

Studies show that 30 minutes of moderate intensity exercises can improve health benefits. Three 10 minutes brisk walks are as important as a 30-minute walk and can increase energy, mental alertness and impact positively on moods. The mood improvements are considered to be a result of increased blood circulation to the brain.
Physical activity also helps to reduce anxiety, stress and improve self-esteem. It can be an alternative low-cost treatment to depression and can help to reduce anxiety levels.
